ServerPlex Helps Salvation Army Effort

San Francisco, California – (The Hosting News) – October 24, 2006 – Integrated web hosting, design and technology solutions firm, ServerPlex Networks, has partnered with The Salvation Army, to offer reconditioned computers for underprivileged families in the San Francisco Bay Area.

Through November 20, the company will be collecting new and used personal computers and monitors at its offices in San Mateo. All collected systems will be inspected and, if necessary, repaired by technicians from ServerPlex Networks’ subsidiary company, ServerPlex Onsite – specializing in computer repair and maintence. ServerPlex Networks hopes to collect roughly 400 computers, which will be distributed to families in mid December by the company in conjunction with The Salvation Army.

Robert Marhamat, Business Development Manager at ServerPlex Networks explained, ”In today’s web-oriented culture, it has become increasingly important to have at the very least a working computer at home, but for many that simply isn’t a possibility. To say we are looking forward to this tremendous opportunity would be an understatement. There is without question enormous need, and we will be doing everything we can to make a significant difference in our community.”

Claire Dunmore, Family Services Director for The Salvation Army in San Francisco added, ”The families we help work hard to provide basic necessities their children, like food and clothing, and struggle to make ends meet. They can’t spend money on things like computers, which may seem extravagant, but are an increasingly common and necessary tool to help people move ahead in school and work. We are grateful for the generous staff at ServerPlex for helping to provide such a wonderful gift to these deserving families in need.”

Founded in 2001 and with one location in San Mateo, California, ServerPlex Networks specializes in all things computer related, from on-site computer maintence and support to integrated web hosting and design solutions. Its five subsidiary brands include Aullo.com, ServerPlex Onsite, ServerPlex Design, ServerPlex Remote and Spinnermail.com.

The Salvation Army has been serving the San Francisco Bay Area for more than 120 years, offering practical support, spiritual comfort, and a critical safety net for those in need. With a total of 15 facilities throughout San Francisco and Northern San Mateo counties, The Salvation Army provides a number of services to the community, including youth programs, meal delivery, transitional housing, drug and alcohol rehabilitation, and nutritional and housing support for seniors.
