BlueHost Ups Disk Space and Bandwidth

BlueHost has increased both the disk space and bandwidth amounts in their web hosting offering. Until recently, the BlueHost plan came with 30 GB disk space and 750 GIGS bandwidth. According to the company’s Web site at www.bluehost.com, 50 GB hosting space and 999 GIGS bandwidth transfer are now offered with the plan.

BlueHost has been providing hosting solutions since 1996. The company offers a shared web hosting package that helps businesses and individuals get high-powered service at a fraction of the cost. The increase would seem to put BlueHost ahead of most competitors in terms of disk space/bandwidth quantity and make BlueHost one of the more generous of all low cost shared hosting providers. BlueHost to Move 125,000 Domains off Godaddy

Matt Heaton, President of BlueHost.com recently let it be known via his blog that the company will be “moving 125,000 domains off of GoDaddy in the next 3 months.” Although Mr. Heaton admits he is not one to complain about specific companies by name, the post makes it clear that he is not happy with the level of service received. What other reasons might be behind the move? It’s no secret that BlueHost is about to embark on its own journey into domain registrardom.

We are launching our own domain registrar in the next 3 months that will be less expensive than GoDaddy with more features and better service. I encourage EVERYONE to move your domains to our new service when it launches. It will save you time and money. When enough people move maybe GoDaddy will finally get it. It won’t matter, by that time it will be too late.
