Streamline.Net Reveals Survey

Derbyshire, United Kingdom - (Cheap Web Hosting Directory) - November 8, 2006 - Budget web hosting company, StreamlineNet, has revealed from a survey of its customers, that the majority of the 8,753 customers questioned, utilize a broadband, rather than dial-up connection.

Out of all of the customers only 259 are still using a dial up connection. At present, there are 11,599,000 Internet users within the UK, of which only 5,300,000 are using broadband. Andrew Dollamore, CEO of Streamline.Net, who conducted the survey, remarked, ‘’These findings are very interesting on two levels. Firstly, it’s good to better understand our customers in order to target more accurately products and services more appropriate to their needs. Secondly, it illustrates the potential of up selling broadband users web hosting as the next natural step. There’s no denying that the gap between broadband and dial up is closing but the gap within the web hosting communality seems almost gone.'’

Streamline.Net offers 5 Hosting Packages on either Windows or Linux servers, that may be added to, as often as desired. Recently, Streamline.Net moved in to newly extended offices and have more than doubled the size to allow for continued expansion. Streamline.Net hosts over 90,000 domain names for over 60,000 customers and adds around 200 domains to its servers every day. Streamline.Net was originally launched in 1999 as a diversification of its parent company, Dollamore Ltd. According to Streamline.Net, 20% of all of its new customers, come via referrals.

    URGENT URGENT URGENT URGENT

    Dear Mr Dollamore

I am having extreme difficulty in obtaining my user name and password for a domain name purchased from you some six months ago. I purchased a substantial amount of names from your company using this email address.

I received a number of comfirmation invoice numbers but nothing further.

I am despeately trying to obtain the user name and password for one paticular domain name I purchashed in order to use it because it has gone on all the advertising features which go out in December.

    The site is turkey4us.co.uk
    Invoice No:75065
    Purchase date 22 July 2006

    Nominet reference; RSD/ORF/0012524496

    Certificate No: UK1Cert161/014768

Can this please be sorted so I can use this domain name. This one is extremely important. Please respond

I have sent a huge amount of emails in the past to no avail. I will be in Derbyshire within the next two weeks and will call personally to talk to someone if
this cannot be resolved over the net. I cannot use your system because I do not have a user name or password for any of the domains I purchased.

    Regards Mrs K SInclair

If you want to find out who you are dealing with at streamline.net type ’streamline.net , legal’ ‘Andrew Dollamore , legal’ or ‘Dollamore Ltd , legal’ into Google, and read the many ‘blogs’ in the many forums represented in each.

A nasty vindictive ‘one man band’ will be avoided at a saving of many pounds and much anguish to your goodself if you avoid this conman

    Streamline.net Technical = Nightmare

Unfortunately what started as a very good experience now has turned into a nightmare.

Price wise their service is very cheap, but their customer support is deplorable and almost non-existence. Their technical support teams are arrogant, unprofessional, technically inept and need to be lead and coaxed at all times.

A portion of our website is the Daily News Section (http://www.cais-soas.com/NewsUpdate.htm), which requires to be updated every few hours, or at least once a day, and though it is still visible over the internet but we haven’t been able to update it since April 25, 2008.

Apparently we cannot publish our website, since the FrontPage Extension has been removed and they cannot reinstall it back for unknown reason! It’s now May 6th. Logging the problem with the ticket based support system, we are now into 20+ tickets and the job has been escalated first to senior engineers and now to level 2 (whatever that means)!

It seems they use a template to deal with their customer’s queries, i.e. “cut and paste”. As I have received three messages exactly the same format “This issue has now been escalated to a senior engineer. We hope to have the issue resolved within 24 to 48 hours.”

And till now so many 24 and 48 hours have gone by and no result. AVOID at any cost!

Domain name paid for two years, hosting not even due yet, they wont even send me an invoice, yet want to re-charge my credit card and are holding my domain to ransom until I pay for hosting at an inflated price which is not even due for another week I wouldnt mind but Im happy to pay them to park the domain.
