GoDaddy Gets Visit from Prince Andrew

Scottsdale, Arizona - (Cheap Web Hosting Directory) - February 15, 2008 - Web hosting domain registrar, GoDaddy, recently hosted Prince Andrew, as he promoted UK trade, in a visit designed to strengthen ties between Britain and the United States.

His Royal Highness, Prince Andrew, spent part of his tour at The Go Daddy Group, Inc. headquarters. The Duke of York, who is fourth in line to the British throne, made the trip as the United Kingdom’s Special Representative for International Trade and Investment. In this role, the Prince is responsible for helping British businesses grow and expand, meeting with influential trade partners and promoting his country as a location for new investment.

During the tour, His Royal Highness met privately with Go Daddy President and COO Warren Adelman, who also provided the Prince a first-hand look into the inner-workings of one of Go Daddy’s Customer Care facilities.

Go Daddy, based in Scottsdale, has offices in Tempe, Phoenix and Gilbert, as well as Denver, Colo., Washington, D.C. and Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Go Daddy is currently evaluating its options for international development.

His Royal Highness commented, ‘’I'm always delighted to speak to companies looking to invest in the UK. Arizona has a strong track record of doing that. I’d be equally delighted to see Go Daddy join that list and bring its Internet expertise to Britain.'’ After his tour, His Royal Highness departed for an invite-only reception hosted by Arizona Gov. Janet Napolitano.

Mr. Adelman added, ‘’It was an honor to spend some time talking Go Daddy business with Prince Andrew. There’s no doubt, we are growing at a lightning fast pace. As the world’s largest domain registrar, it makes sense for us to look at a range of opportunities for expansion, including overseas.'’

There are already numerous ties between the United Kingdom and Arizona, although the British have been beefing up their efforts to strengthen them in recent months, even hosting the UK Trade and Investment annual conference in Phoenix last November. Currently, the United Kingdom is Arizona’s sixth largest export market, with the state shipping nearly $803 million worth of goods to Britain in 2006, according to the U.S. Commerce Department. In addition, Arizona is home to more than 40 British companies.
