GNAX Adopts Foundry Server Balancers
Atlanta, Georgia - (The Hosting News) - April 27, 2007 - Hosting solutions network facilities firm, Global Net Access (GNAX), TranxactGlobal, and NetDepot, are offering private load balancers, based on the Foundry Server Iron Load Balancer product.
According to the company, servers may be hooked into the unit, in order to allow for a complete load balanced solution. In addition, GNAX has added a gigabit connection to the silver network (AS 16626) from Telia, which will increase the performance of the formerly all-Cogent transit network, providing cost-effective connectivity options to AtlantaNAP customers.
In addition, GNAX has added a gigabit ethernet connection to IT infrastructure services for business applications, Savvis Communications, which is anticipated to increase the performance of its network.
In related news, Savvis recently inked a five-year agreement with multimedia news organization, Reuters.com, to provide a platform for a next-generation Web 2.0 media web site. The partnership is anticipated to allow Reuters.com to scale easily as web traffic builds, providing the framework for a modern Web 2.0 media site. In addition, Reuters has migrated the critical IT infrastructure which supports the Reuters.com site to Savvis’ virtualised utility computing and storage platform.
The annual customer dinner to be held Tuesday night July 24, 2007 at Hostingcon in Chicago, will be hosted by GNAX, in a private suite at the top of the John Hancock building. Customers must RSVP in order to atttend.
