Digital River Expands PCWorld Contract

Minneapolis, Minnesota - (Cheap Web Hosting Directory) - March 19, 2007 - Global e-commerce and web hosting outsourcing provider, Digital River, has signed an expanded online retail agreement with PCWorld.com, for management-level buyers and users of technology products.

Under the new agreement, PCWorld.com is selling buy-now, full versions of software titles from Digital River’s extensive downloadable software catalog. These additional products complement PCWorld.com’s existing trial software offerings, which also include titles from Digital River’s downloadable catalog.

Dave Rech, Vice President of Account Development of Digital River added, “As part of our ongoing commitment to our clients, we are continually looking for ways to offer them greater value by expanding the services we provide for their e-commerce sites. Building upon an already strong foundation with PCWorld.com, we were able to further extend our relationship and help the company cost-effectively expand its online business with a highly relevant catalog of buy-now digital products for its technology-savvy user base.”

The recently-launched PCWorld.com software download store, built by Digital River, features a wide range of products from Digital River’s downloadable catalog, including brand name virus protection, Internet security and digital imaging software, as well as DVD/CD authoring tools, utilities and operating systems. For the online store, Digital River is providing end-to-end e-commerce services, including site hosting, payment processing, fraud prevention, software downloads and customer service support.

Brian Buizer, Senior Manager, Business Development of PCWorld.com added, “Expanding our product offering with Digital River’s catalog of buy-now software was a natural progression for our business. Because our users have a high level of interest in technology products, including software, we had a unique opportunity to create a convenient location for them to shop for and purchase these products. By taking advantage of more of Digital River’s services, we were able to not only quickly launch our store as part of our site, but also begin selling a large catalog of buy-now software titles without having to build relationships with every publisher.”
