All of the plans have very generous with resource allocations (they start at 600 GB of space and 6,000 GB of data trasnfer) and offer more than enough for pretty much any web site. As with any company, be weary of their claim to offer “unlimited” space. Each plan comes with the expected features such as unlimited subdomains, email, databases, developer support, etc.

IX Web Hosting’s web site is informative, but cluttered. There is a lot of information, plenty of FAQs and tutorials, and many explanations. They have a helpful video tutorial that takes new customers through the order process and they have plenty of video tutorials to guide you through the basics of creating and operating a web site.

The control panel offered to IX Web Hosting customers is clunky, but useful. Their web site offers a free demo that potential customers can explore and play with. The control panel, which is called H-Sphere, offers all the expected features of competitors like cPanel, but looks antiquated. It does not use any Web 2.0 like features such as AJAX and has 1998-esque graphics.

IX Web Hosting offers 24/7 technical support over their ticket system, the phone, and live chat. The company takes pride in the fact that they don’t outsource their support staff and provide plenty of ways to get in touch.
