Internap Hires New Legal Officer
Atlanta, Georgia – (The Hosting News) – April 16, 2007 – Internet performance network services company, Internap Network Services Corporation, has appointed corporate governance and securities law veteran, Richard P. Dobb, as its new Vice President and General Counsel.
Mr. Dobb will be responsible for all legal matters and guide the development of policies and procedures to ensure the integrity of Internap’s business practices. Mr. Dobb has extensive experience in mergers and acquisitions, intellectual property law, public securities and commercial law. Mr. Dobb comes to Internap after serving as Chief Legal Officer and Corporate Secretary for S1 Corporation. In that role, he was responsible for the legal support of over twenty subsidiaries with offices in sixteen countries, and led the company’s legal affairs ranging from compliance and risk management to international operations and real estate.
Prior to joining S1, Mr. Dobb was Vice President, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary of eShare Communications, Inc., a global provider of web-based customer care software solutions. During his four years with eShare, Mr. Dobb was responsible for legal matters for the company’s offices in six countries and was instrumental in providing counsel for the 1999 acquisition by Melita Corporation.
Other previous management experience include legal positions with Digital Equipment Corporation, which is now part of Hewlett Packard Corporation, The Georgia Institute of Technology, and the corporate finance practice at King and Spalding. Mr. Dobb holds a B.A. from Rutgers University and is a graduate of the Emory University School of Law.
