San Jose, California – (The Hosting News) – May 9, 2007 – Internet hardware networking firm, Cisco Systems, is scheduled to begin hosting its Data Center Day, multi-city events, at Hotel Shangri-La in Delhi, India, on May 11, 2007, to emphasize the importance of network-based architecture for data centers.

Cisco, along with representatives from IBM and Emerson, will showcase the alignment of the data center IT infrastructure environment, as to how it relates to business organization objectives. Gartner recommends that IT organizations improve the operational efficiency and utilization of data center resources, while simultaneously building infrastructure that protects applications and services against disruptions and security attacks.

The Cisco Data Center Day event, will highlight the critical issues faced by data centers, with an eye toward providing some answers to the current and long-term challenges that data center managers confront. Topics will include:

Network – The Strategic Platform in Your Data Center
Building Tomorrow’s Intelligent SAN today; and
Creating an Adaptive IT infrastructure’.

Cisco will demonstrate Data Center Network Architecture (DCNA) solutions, designed to enable IT organizations with siloed monolithic systems, to create service-centric resources, including standardized components. In addition, the session will also describe a way to employ consolidation, virtualization, and automation technologies, in order to compile resources through an intelligent network.
